Finally got the Buddy photo from CES!

Today, we finally received the photo that we took at CES 2011 with the Microsoft Messenger Buddy, who was actually soft and squishy when hugged. The photo took 2 weeks to receive PLUS since we took the photo with Buddy, we both are now entered into a drawing to win a brand new Dell Inspiron M101z.

This is another thing Pam and I decided to do to have some activity going on for the blog: take pics of cupcakes and/or cupcake designs in the wild for inspiration.

WIP: Sugar & Nyao's Shoppe!

Here's some initial concept art for Sugar & Nyao's Shoppe, which will be renamed because we found out there IS such a thing as "Sweet Shoppe" o_o. The computer I was working on didn't have Photoshop so I had to work on Windows 7 MS Paint... with that stupid Logitech mouse with the giant red ball.

Aimee & Neve!

Sugar and Nyao have been quite busy with their Sweet Shoppe and here's what they're working on... Cupcats! Half cupcake, half cat, all sweet.

Aimee is our featured mascot (look up at our logo!) and Neve was previously featured in our Holiday Post.

Can I have a TV please?

The past weekend was almost a blur since I had caught a cold BUT it was super duper fun (and tiring). We both got to play with so many gadgets and 3D galore. They showcased 3D televisions, cameras, printers, awesome cellphones, tablets and a insane amount of anything customizable to customize all your gadgets, accessories, and whatnots. There were also a lot of environmentally safe products which I loved.

We want a LG Touch TV!!!

My favorites overall was the Motorola Atrix (AT&T) and the Samsung 4G LTE (Verizon) which both are Android smartphones. They also had the Samsung Galaxy Tab, which if you already have the Galaxy cellphone, this is just a larger tablet version of it and the Polaroid Tablet which runs in Android 2.2. For TVs, the LG Plasma TV, or LG Touch TV, was insanely awesome (noted in the above photo) which turns your regular TV into a drawing board for your kids, or yourself.

Polaroid and their creative director Lady Gaga launched the Grey Label which consist of 3 products: a instant digital camera, mobile printer and sunglasses fitted with a built-in camera and lenses that double as a LCD screen. I would love to get the mobile printer since it's Wi-fi, so if you have any photos you want to print from your phone, just link it to that printer and voila! Instant photo. We also took photos with Samsung, Kodak and Nvidia in 3D which we'll post up as soon as we scan them.

Also have to note that Ford, Audi, Hyundai and other car companies were out battling to try to out do each other in in-car technology. I do have to say that the Audi E-Tron looked freakin' amazing in person. It's a high performance sports car with a pure electric drive system. We were like kids in a candy store in hopes that one day, just maybe one day, we might be able to own one... or at least drive one.

We have a ton of photos to go through however. With me having a cold, I only snapped a few pictures here and there but all the others I was with took plenty of shots. We'll try to post up a few photos as soon as they come up. This was a very large convention, but we now also have more ideas for a few products we want to try to produce for fun.

2011 International CES, January 6-9

CES is about to hit Las Vegas, NV which will be from Thursday, Jan 6 to Sunday, Jan 9.

We're only going for two or three days, but all sorts of events are going to be happening all this weekend. The major one, which we are attending, (for free!!) is the 2011 International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) which is an industry only event so it's closed to the public, and the second event, which is right next door to CES is the AVN Adult Entertainment Expo (AEE 2011).

Electronics + Porn = Fun stuff, eh? We'll be seeing a sea of people with either CES or AEE badges (maybe both!). We'd love to go to the AEE also but it cost a lot of $$$, so unless one of our dear friends wins big on the Roulette table and pays for both of us, we'll be at CES. But who knows, the week just started and both CES and AEE are only a few days away. :)

Is That... Snow??

The most peculiar thing happened in Vegas last night and early morning. It snowed, like "OH MY GOD, THERE'S SNOW FALLING IN FRONT OF MY WINDOW!" It's not the first time I've seen snow but it's so rare to see it without driving up to Mt. Charleston. Needless to say, our cats were very excited to see snow flurries flying about.

I stepped out in my furry pilot cap, 2 long-sleeved shirts underneath a winter coat, jeans and black snow boots. I didn't do my daily rant of "It's so COLD!" because I was too busy smiling, watching it gently fall around me as I was walking. And then it hit me as soon as I saw my car, covered heavily in snow: I have to go to work through this today :(

Expect a comic influenced by this experience later on this week... Thought it might be delayed because of CES 2011!

Hey there!! Happy 2011!! Hope you are all enjoying the start of the new year!! I'm stuck somewhere in a dark cave while kids wearing monster hats and horns are having a lightsaber fight and bigger kids are in a food coma after we murdered this giant stuffed ham...

NYE was spent in the fab Las Vegas strip. I was in the freezing cold strip with the mass crowd while sajcfan was warm in the underground of the strip. Two seperate places but almost the same. I don't think I'll be going to the strip again for NYE so I say we plan a Disney trip for the next NYE.;)

The new year presents itself with a fresh start now with more new, fresher ideas in which we have a lot planned to post up. Please stay with us as we get everything in order since the holiday chaos is almost over. I think you'll like some of the things we have in store for you this year. Btw, do you guys like stickers and buttons?
